Registered Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant:- Zion Urgent Care

The Medical Assistant is a key member of the Physician Practice and provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations.
• Checks in patients, take full information and collects payments.
• Does Insurance verification
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment.

• Takes patient medications and vital signs and enters to the EMR.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Gives injections and assists with lab testing and Phlebotomy, .
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Gives follow up call to patients referred to ER.

Job Requirements EDUCATION

• Graduation from a Medical Assisting training program.
• Work is 6-12 hour shifts between 9am-9pm
• Flexible shifts preferably including weekends.
• CPR certification required.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of One (1) year of experience in urgent care setting is preferred.
• Experience in front desk management/reception
• Experience in X ray tech work preferred.
• Experience in Billing and coding preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE Certified Medical Assistant is preferred. CPR certification preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
