Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality resident care by assessing individual needs and developing personalised care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in line with prescribed guidelines and safety protocols.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health, accurately documenting any changes in medical records.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, specialists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding health conditions, treatments, and ongoing care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment in line with infection control and health & safety standards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and changes in residents’ conditions.
- Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training to maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements & Experience
- Valid nursing qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a nursing home or care home setting, with a focus on older adult care.
- Sound knowledge of clinical practices, medication administration, and basic anatomy and physiology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents and their families.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of care.
