Job Summary:
The Staff development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (RN) oversees staff education, onboarding, competency validation, and leads the center’s Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct and conduct orientation for new employees

Support onboarding and competency validation for Nurses and CNAs

Coordinate and maintain annual and ongoing nursing competencies

Conduct daily patient care rounds to assess staff education and clinical needs

Develop and implement non-eLearning annual education plans
-
Lead and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program
Qualifications:
-
Active RN license in Virginia (good standing)
-
Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, including nursing leadership

Strong clinical skills, including IV therapy
