Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infection Preventionist / Staff Development coordinator

Location : Sterling, VA

Position Type: Full-Time | Shift: Day

Job Summary:

The Staff development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist (RN) oversees staff education, onboarding, competency validation, and leads the center’s Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and conduct orientation for new employees
• Support onboarding and competency validation for Nurses and CNAs
• Coordinate and maintain annual and ongoing nursing competencies
• Conduct daily patient care rounds to assess staff education and clinical needs
• Develop and implement non-eLearning annual education plans
• Lead and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Virginia (good standing)
• Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, including nursing leadership
• Strong clinical skills, including IV therapy
