Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards.
- Manage airway procedures, IV infusions, catheterizations, and sterile techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, dementia, or post-acute recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations using laboratory experience and medical imaging techniques like sonography or mammography when applicable.
- Support discharge planning, case management, and health coaching to promote long-term wellness and recovery.
- Maintain meticulous medical records utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Deliver compassionate hospice & palliative medicine services or dementia care tailored to individual patient needs.
Experience
- Proven nursing experience in diverse environments including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or outpatient clinics.
- Critical care experience within Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred; ICU or PICU experience highly valued.
- Familiarity with advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, gastrostomy tube feeding, or ostomy care.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
- Background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in settings like assisted living or memory care is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining safe clinical environments.
- Experience providing nursing services across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, occupational health, or home & community care.
- Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture, phlebotomy, suturing, tube feeding management, and physical examinations confidently.
- Prior work in medical-surgical units or post-acute care settings that emphasizes acute pain management and complex case management strategies is desirable.
