Advanced Allergy, Asthma & Immunology is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing infusion team. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who enjoys providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient specialty clinic setting.
Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion Department
- Schedule: Part-Time, 3–4 days per week
- Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, daytime hours only
- Location: Spokane Valley, WA
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
About the Role
The Infusion Nurse is responsible for administering infusion therapies and biologic medications, monitoring patients during treatment, and responding to adverse reactions when necessary. The RN will work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusion therapies and injectable biologic medications
- Perform patient assessments before, during, and after treatment
- Start and maintain peripheral IV access
- Experience accessing and managing implanted venous access devices
- Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions and respond appropriately
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and potential side effects
- Accurately document all care in the electronic medical record
- Maintain infusion supplies and medication inventory
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Previous infusion nursing experience
- Experience administering IVIG, biologics, specialty medications, or allergy/immunology treatments
- Experience in outpatient infusion, oncology, rheumatology, allergy, immunology, or specialty clinic settings
