Registered Nurse – Adult Outpatient Clinic

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (35 hrs/week) | Day Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Register and process patients entering the clinic for care
• Record and monitor vital signs, perform triage, and collect laboratory specimens as ordered
• Schedule annual physicals, semi-annual visits, and lab recalls
• Coordinate specialist referrals, follow-up appointments, and ensure continuity of care
• Manage provider schedules for psychiatrists and nurse practitioners
• Conduct medication administration, monitor responses, and follow treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on medications, health maintenance, and preventive care
• Retrieve and maintain medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards
• Assist in emergency psychiatric situations and support crisis stabilization
• Document all patient interactions, medications, and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and social service staff to ensure quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license in good standing
• Spanish Speaking Preferred
• Behavioral Health Background preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in mental health, community health, or outpatient care
• CPR certification required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care
