Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12)
Shift: Evening/Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical care services in the CVICU/ICU setting. This role involves managing high-acuity patients, performing advanced clinical interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Provide care to critically ill patients in ICU and CVICU settings
- Float between ICU, CVICU, and Med/Surg Tele units as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Support staff education and serve as a clinical resource
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility policies
- Utilize electronic health record systems and nursing informatics tools
- Prior critical care experience required
- CVICU experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pharmacology exam (must pass prior to start)
- Basic Arrhythmia exam (must pass prior to start)
- Strong critical care and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to float across multiple units
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification
- TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certification
- De-escalation training/certification
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
