Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic bilingual Registered Nurse / Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our dynamic research team in Puerto Rico. Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, vital signs, and physical examinations in accordance with study protocols.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and dermal fillers as required by study guidelines.
- Manage specimen collection, processing, and documentation utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Coordinate participant scheduling, informed consent processes, and follow-up visits to ensure protocol adherence.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document adverse events, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, imaging procedures like sonography or CT scans, and aseptic techniques during procedures such as suturing or catheterization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and caregivers to deliver comprehensive patient care across various settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all procedures, including infection control practices and emergency response readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license with current state registration.
- Proven experience in clinical settings such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or outpatient clinics.
- Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Knowledge of complex medical terminology including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Skills in venipuncture, IV insertion, medication administration, aseptic technique, and specimen collection.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately; familiarity with diagnostic tools like sonography or spinal tap is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and case management; ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
