Registered Nurse (day hours, no weekends)

Nura ambulatory surgery centers is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to provide care for patients receiving procedural treatments and surgeries at our Edina facility.

Duties of this position will include:

• Utilize the nursing process and skills in accordance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage patient flow from admission to discharge.
• Start IVs and administer conscious sedation.
• Monitor patients during procedures.
• Recover patients in the PACU.
• Provide educational materials and explanations.
• Potential to learn the circulator role in the OR.
• Manage and triage patients with pre- and post- procedural and surgical phone calls.
• Function as a team member within our facilities to complete necessary duties in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

• Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Previous pain management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management, and visitors.
• Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, and outside reps.
• Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems.
• Evidence of leadership and the ability to contribute to a positive team-focused environment.

License & Certifications

• Current MN registration as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certified or obtain certification within three months of employment.
