The Registered Nurse in this role is responsible for providing nursing, medical and health care services for adolescent males in our Juvenile Residential Treatment Program.
***This is an intermittent / PRN position. The position does not come with any benefits. Great job for someone who needs a flexible schedule. (Usually working on Tuesday or Wednesday)
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

Nursing Degree from an approved school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.

Minimum One (1) year nursing experience.

Valid Michigan Driver’s license without relevant restriction.

Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy.

Demonstrate ability to interact positively in a cultural diverse environment.
Success in the role is measured on your ability to:

Effectively provide nursing services in accordance to QRTP (Qualified Residential Treatment Program) standards.

Consistently administer all aspects of nursing services for the residential programs as defined by policy, contract and licensing standards.

Meet expected case documentation requirements.

Maintain compliance with agency and contractual training and licensure requirements.
Essential Functions:

Plans and organizes work to meet all job requirements according to the agency and COA standards, licensing, and QRTP (Qualified Residential Treatment Program) requirements.

Provides health related services for residential clients.

Develop, implement and monitor the medical treatment plan for youth as assigned.

Works with physicians to dispense and monitor prescribed client medications.

Communicates in a clear, timely, and appropriate manner.

Completes individual charting and all required reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Provide health-related education to staff and clients as assigned.

Works cooperatively and in collaboration with other staff and representatives of other agencies.

Demonstrates personal integrity and professional demeanor in accordance with the ethics of the agency and profession.

Stay informed of current practice developments with the profession.

Utilizes education and training opportunities to ensure continual professional competence.

Respond to supervision appropriately as a vehicle for further professional development.
