Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

Danat Al Emarat Women & Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse III - NICU Level III to join our advanced neonatal intensive care team. This role supports critically ill and high-risk newborns in a tertiary care environment using evidence-based, family-centered practice.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers advanced nursing care to critically ill and high-risk neonates
  • Performs comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring
  • Manages ventilated, post-operative, and complex neonatal cases
  • Administers specialized medications and therapies safely
  • Supports emergency interventions and escalates deterioration early
  • Maintains accurate EMR documentation and infection control standards

  • Encourages parental involvement and developmental care
  • Communicates clearly and compassionately

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years recent NICU experience in Level III or tertiary NICU
  • Current nursing license in country of origin
  • Experience in tertiary or large acute hospital NICU
  • Experience with ventilated and extremely premature neonates

Certification & Licensure

  • DOH/DHA Nursing License (or eligibility)
  • BLS — required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) — required
  • PALS — preferred
