We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a hospice setting, ensuring comfort and dignity during end-of-life care. This role requires a strong understanding of patient needs, effective communication with families, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care to patients in accordance with established hospice protocols and individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation of all treatments.
  • Conduct assessments of patients’ physical and emotional conditions, monitoring changes and reporting findings to the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, medication management, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
  • Offer emotional support to families during difficult times, facilitating family planning discussions when necessary.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current on best practices in hospice care.

Requirements

  • Valid RN nursing license in the state of practice.
  • CPR
  • Experience in outpatient settings or acute care environments preferred.
  • Proficiency in administering medications and managing complex patient needs.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care in hospice settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing dignified end-of-life care.

Pay: $38.01 - $45.78 per hour
