We are an award-winning* care home looking to recruit a Registered Nurse on behalf of our residents in Langham Court, our 40-bed Butterfly care home, which specialises in dementia care.
Our dementia care team benefits from very high staffing levels (up to 1:3 carers:residents, and even higher when you take our nurses, homemakers and housekeepers into consideration), innovative care model (we are a Butterfly care home with household living), and a family-run ethos (three generations of the Hoare family live on the estate along with their cats, dogs, chickens, sheep and horses and have been running the estate for 47 years).
Your role will include medication administration, care plan reviews, clinical (tissue viability etc.) and palliative care, shift leadership, communication with families, and spending time with the people living here, but it's not the same as other care homes - one nurse described our approach as "the way I have always wanted to care for people".
We pride ourselves on providing the most compassionate care possible.
The Huntington & Langham Estate is based in Hindhead where you’ll find two specialist family-run care homes offering high-quality care surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland and farm land. Huntington House is a 35 bedded residential nursing home and Langham Court is our 40 bedded specialist dementia nursing home. Our story started in 1978 when Marilyn Hoare (Owner & Director) turned her dreams into reality by combining holistic values with high quality clinical care. The family continue to run both homes, with Charlie, Mals son, now as Managing Director.
If your passion lies in caring about our residents with specialist dementia, we look forward to hearing from you, and welcoming you to the Estate. More info about the estate, the team you'll be working with and the family who run it can be found on our website - https://huntingtonlangham.estate
