Registered Nurse (RN)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

El Valor’s Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of El Valor’s Adult Program Management team and responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) Rule 116 within Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs). This role involves monitoring, coordinating, and delivering nursing care services for individuals with various intellectual disabilities residing in CILA homes. This position supports quality of life, safety, and independence for individuals served and acts as a clinical resource for staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Current and unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Field from an accredited college or university required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in developmental disabilities, mental health, or community-based settings.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for travel between sites.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish communication preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of and experience with IDHS Rule 116 is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in maintaining confidential health records and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to flex schedule to meet program needs, including on call assistance.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

• Full-Time
• Hourly

WAGE/SALARY RANGE:

• $94,000 – $100,000 / year

WORK LOCATION:

• 1850 W 21st Street, Chicago, IL 60608
• Flexibility to travel to other worksites/work assignments required.

SCHEDULE:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday (some weekends and evenings may apply as needed)
• Remote work days available after probationary period
• Flexibility to work evening, overnight and weekend hours as needed for on call
