The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing oversight and manages the ongoing health care of individuals with brain injuries living in 24 hour supervised residential settings, including triage for emergent conditions. The RN will advise on the coordination of health care delivery in conjunction with residential staff, family/guardians, physicians, and other health care providers. The RN will provide and coordinate health education for clients and training for staff. The RN will support transitions of care through nursing visits after ED/hospitalizations as appropriate.

The RN will also provide additional duties and functions as part of the Massachusetts Medication Administration Program (MAP). The RN will provide ongoing quality assurance by monitoring each site's medication administration system to ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and MAP policies. May be asked to serve as a MAP Certified Trainer and MAP Consultant.

Each of these is a 10 hour per week position. We are open to hiring separately for each or combining both to make a 20 hour position.

Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) and current BLS
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Willingness to travel between residential programs in the Hyannis area and respond via telephone to emergencies if necessary
