Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and coordinating nursing care for residents in a skilled nursing facility in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies. The RN ensures quality clinical outcomes, supervises nursing staff, and promotes a safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care in accordance with individualized care plans and physician orders
- Perform ongoing resident assessments and document clinical findings accurately and timely
- Administer medications and treatments in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report significant changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and direct the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Participate in care plan development, updates, and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including infection control and safety standards
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records in the electronic medical record system
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate clinical interventions
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and lead nursing staff
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for skilled nursing facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a healthcare setting with exposure to infectious diseases and medical conditions
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Scheduled shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
