OUR TEAM IS GROWING! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PRN/PART TIME REGISTERED NURSE position can grow to full time as we grow.

The Interventional Radiology nurse provides patient care in pre-op, intra-op and post-op setting for procedures that use imaging technologies (like fluoroscopy and ultrasound) to guide treatments such as angioplasty, thrombectomy, embolization, arterial revascularization etc.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Procedure Care


Review patient history, labs, and imaging results

Assess patient condition and readiness for procedure

Obtain informed consent and explain procedures

Start IV lines and administer pre-procedure medications

  • Intra-Procedure Support


Assist the interventional radiologist during procedures, circulator

Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels)

Administer conscious sedation or analgesia (depending on certification)

Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety

  • Post-Procedure Care


Monitor recovery and vital signs

Assess puncture sites for bleeding or complications

Provide discharge instructions and patient education

Manage pain and administer medications

🧠 Skills & Competencies

Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making

Knowledge of radiologic procedures and equipment

Sedation and airway management skills

Excellent communication and patient education

Ability to respond to emergencies (e.g., bleeding, contrast reactions)

🎓 Education & Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Certifications required:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
