Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor – CHHA Training Program

Holy Trinity Home Care Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an Instructor for our Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) Training Program.

This role is ideal for an RN with a passion for teaching and developing future caregivers while ensuring compliance with New Jersey Board of Nursing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and virtual instruction for CHHA students
• Deliver NJ Board-approved curriculum, including:
• Role of CHHA in home care
• Infection control and safety
• Personal care skills
• Communication and patient interaction
• Supervise in-person clinical/lab training sessions
• Teach and validate hands-on skills (bathing, transfers, vital signs, etc.)
• Ensure students meet 100% competency requirements
• Maintain student records (attendance, evaluations, competencies)
• Reinforce compliance with:
• NJ regulations
• Patient confidentiality
• Abuse reporting guidelines
• Collaborate with Program Coordinator on training delivery

Requirements:

• Active RN license in New Jersey, Preferrable a BSN
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• At least 1 year experience in home care, community health, or public health
• Minimum 6 months experience supervising CHHAs
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Comfortable with virtual teaching platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
