Seeking compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses to join our team providing in-home newborn and postpartum care for families across North Alabama.
We are currently expanding our team with upcoming contracts in the Hartselle area, with both daytime and overnight shifts available.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, ideal for RNs who love supporting new families, value flexible scheduling, and want meaningful, one-on-one work in a home setting.
About the Role
- Location: Hartselle area (primary need), with opportunities in surrounding areas
- Schedule: Typically 2–5 shifts/week (day and/or overnight)
- Start: Summer 2026, with potential for earlier assignments
- Team-based care model (multiple nurses per family)
Responsibilities
Newborn Care
- Feeding, diapering, soothing, and monitoring sleep
- Maintaining detailed shift logs
- Supporting safe sleep practices
Parent Support
- Providing emotional support during the postpartum period
- Checking in on recovery, mood, and overall well-being
- Offering education, guidance, and reassurance
Light Infant Housekeeping
- Cleaning and sanitizing bottles & pump parts
- Baby laundry as needed
- Keeping feeding and sleep areas tidy
Professionalism
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with families
- Following family preferences while maintaining safe standards
- Collaborating with the assigned nurse team
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (Alabama or compact)
- Current BLS/CPR (NRP preferred, not required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to in-home settings
- Experience in Mother/Baby preferred
- NICU, Nursery or L&D considered
