The Role
As a Field RN, you are the clinical lead for your assigned patients. You are responsible for the total nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. This role is ideal for a clinician who excels in physical assessment and enjoys building one-on-one relationships with patients while helping them regain their independence.
Key Responsibilities (Per NC Rule 13J .1102)

• Start of Care (SOC):Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to admit patients to service and formulate the nursing diagnosis.
• Care Planning:Develop and implement the individualized Nursing Plan of Care (POC) based on physician orders.
• Skilled Treatments:Provide high-level interventions including advanced wound care (surgical sites, pressure ulcers, Wound Vacs), IV therapy, catheter/ostomy management, and tracheostomy care.
• Medication Management:Administer and monitor prescribed medications; provide thorough patient/family education on side effects and safety.
• Team Leadership:Supervise and train other nursing personnel, including LPNs and In-Home Aides, ensuring compliance with the Plan of Care.
• Observation & Reporting:Monitor signs and symptoms; report any changes in condition or reactions to treatment to the physician and Director of Nursing (DON).
• Documentation:Complete and submit clinical notes via our mobile EMR within 24 hours of each visit (No Note, No Pay Policy).

Requirements

• License:Active, unencumbered North Carolina RN License(or Compact License).
• Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience in Home Health, ER, ICU, or a similar skilled clinical setting.
• Skills:Strong physical assessment skills, proficiency in wound care, and the ability to work independently.
• Logistics:Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and professional liability insurance.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $34.52 - $45.05 per hour
