As the Cardiopulmonary Procedures RN, in this position, you would provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care to patients undergoing Cardiopulmonary procedures. You would identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results for a wide variety of patient populations, as well as assist the physicians with procedures and provide moderate sedation as needed under the direction of the Cardiologist or Pulmonologist. You would be responsible for assisting/performing procedures such as bronchoscopies, TEE's, Stress Echo's, Stress Tests, Holters, and EKG's.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required, BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing
Experience: 2 years of experience in acute care is preferred
Certifications: BLS required. ACLS must be completed within six months of date of hire or transfer date. Moderate Sedation training must be completed within 30 days of date of hire or transfer date. Basic arrhythmia course must be completed within one year from date of hire or transfer date. Basic computer skills required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Spend 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, and twist, and occasionally lift patients with assistance 125 pounds or more multiple times per shift. Must be able to push in excess of 150 pounds wheelchair with patient and equipment. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases.
