Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Schedule: Nights – 3x12 Hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Location: Bricktown, New Jersey

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a Telemetry / Stroke unit setting. The RN is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians, and delivering high-quality nursing care based on individualized patient needs.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, telemetry competency, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

• Provide therapeutic nursing interventions

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and stroke-related symptoms

• Manage care of telemetry and stroke patients

• Document patient care in accordance with standards of practice and acuity

• Prioritize patient needs based on assessment and clinical condition

• Advocate for evidence-based practice standards

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Active New Jersey RN license or compact license

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

• Telemetry Certification or successful completion of Telemetry Competency Exam

• Stroke CEU – 4 Contact Hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Prior Stroke Unit experience

Schedule Requirements

• Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

• 36 hours per week

• Every other weekend required

• Holiday coverage required (major holidays as scheduled)

• No on-call requirement

• Occasional floating may occur; agency staff may float first if needed
