Position Summary:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the administration of ventilator management, gas therapy, humidity, aerosol therapy, intermittent pressure breathing treatments, basic pulmonary function tests, arterial punctures and ABG interpretation, 12-lead EKGs, assist as required at bronchoscopy procedures, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, high flow 02 therapy and oximetry monitoring.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Valid California State license for Respiratory Care Practitioner (R.C.P.) and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR required. NRP, ACLS & PALS required prior to the completion of department orientation/independent practice.
