Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Nights)

Under general supervision, the Respiratory Therapist provides essential respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunctions and pathophysiological conditions.

This role includes training and serving as a resource within the Respiratory Therapy Department.

It is essential to note that this job description does not encompass all duties; the employee may be tasked with additional responsibilities as directed by their supervisor.

This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position, requiring 24 hours of work per week.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Proficiency in operating and managing ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP devices

• Conducting arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation

• Administering medications via nebulizers and metered-dose inhalers

• Cross-training in pulmonary function testing (PFT) procedures

• Collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver acute and critical care according to prescribed protocols.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field

- Active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Certification requirements include maintaining BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
