Registered Vascular Technologist

RESPONSIBILITES:

-The RVT will work under the discretion of the Physicians and Manager

-Will perform independently all aspects of Arterial and Venous testing to include imaging and non-imaging studies

-Responsible for performing high quality ultrasound examinations on various patient types for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of physiologic disorders

-Maintain lab protocols and meets accreditation standards.

- Effectively operates machinery and prepares preliminary report in EMR for the presence or absence of any abnormalities in the studies.

-Responsible for notifying physicians in a timely manner of any new significant abnormal findings noted during the test.

-Performs and has knowledge of all necessary, daily, monthly, and annual care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. Troubleshoots any potential problem situations of equipment. Reports all malfunctioning equipment as necessary to The Lead Tech or Service Vendor

-Checks email daily to ensure open communication with other staff.

-Always respects patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality.

-Passionate about individualizing and ensuring a positive, meaningful experience

-Ability to problem solve, improvise, and implement in a busy, high volume schedule

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist

-Prefer at least 3 years of experience

-Must have the ability to multitask

-Computer knowledge is a must

-Experience with an EMR system is a plus

-Must be able to travel to satellite offices as assigned-travel can be up to 2 days per month-mileage to more than one location is reimbursed

SALARY:

-$40+ per hour based on experience
