DEPT: Admitting/Registration

LOCATION: Maury Regional Medical Center- Columbia, TN

SHIFT: Full-Time, Thursday-Saturday 7p - 7a

JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Access Registrars areas of technical competencies should include: Working knowledge of office equipment and computers, Medicare, TennCare, healthcare insurance payment methodologies, and financial assistance policies and procedures. General knowledge of hospital/FHG payment plan guidelines, hospital/FHG clinical departments and service protocols and healthcare coding practices. Strong negotiation and collection skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 2 Years of Related Healthcare Experience Preferred
  • Solid Understanding of Healthcare Terminology. Preferred
  • Strong communication skills. Strong work ethic and energy. Preferred
  • Thrives in a Demanding and Professional Environment. Preferred
  • Excellent Business Judgment and Customer Service Skills. Preferred
  • Able to Distill Patient Financial Information and Present Essential Information in a Concise Manner. Preferred
