The University Registrar serves as the chief administrative officer responsible for academic governance, regulatory compliance, and institutional documentation. This strategic leadership position plays a crucial role in maintaining academic excellence and ensuring seamless university operations in alignment with national regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Administration
- Oversee comprehensive management of student lifecycle: admissions, registrations, examinations, and academic records maintenance
- Supervise timely issuance of degrees, diplomas, certificates, transcripts, and migration documents
- Implement academic policies and quality assurance mechanisms
Governance & Compliance
- Coordinate meetings of statutory bodies including Academic Council, Syndicate, Executive Council, and Board of Studies
- Ensure strict compliance with UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, and state regulatory guidelines
- Maintain official university documentation, statutes, ordinances, and regulations
Strategic Leadership
- Liaise with UGC, AICTE, State Government, and accreditation agencies (NAAC/NBA)
- Lead administrative teams ensuring efficient functioning of academic departments
- Support Vice-Chancellor in policy formulation and implementation
- Facilitate institutional development and quality enhancement initiatives
Essential Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per UGC relaxation norms) from a UGC-recognized university
- Ph.D. degree will be preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of administrative experience in university/college/higher education institution
- At least 8 years in senior administrative capacity (Deputy Registrar level or equivalent)
- Proven track record in academic administration and regulatory compliance

- Comprehensive knowledge of UGC regulations, NEP 2020, accreditation processes, and university governance
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in office automation, record management systems, and academic software
