REHAB AIDE (CNA Certified via Nurse Aide Registry)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The rehab aide supports physical and occupational therapists by assisting with patient care, maintaining treatment areas, and handling administrative tasks under supervision. Key duties include preparing patients for therapy, transporting patients, cleaning equipment and managing paperwork.
Full-Time Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm
Patient care and assistance
- Help with patient transfers and movement.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Administrative and organizational duties:
- Handle phone calls and answer patient questions about appointments or insurance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning treatment areas and equipment between uses.
- Order and stock supplies.
- Updates inventory of devices and equipment
- Ensure all unit devices, including wheelchairs, are in good condition
- Coordinates with the Engineering department regarding any devices for repair
Equipment and maintenance:
- Set up and prepare treatment rooms and equipment for use.
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Provide wheelchair transport to residents, as needed, to and from rehab therapy in a safe and orderly manner.
- Use good body mechanics to prevent harm to self and resident.
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- Clean rehab equipment and document on cleaning schedule.
- Maintain and organize rehab equipment.
- Bring rehab documents to nursing units and place in resident’s charts.
- Replace clean laundry daily.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CNA Certified through Nurse Aide Registry
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, when necessary.
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver necessary supplies and equipment safely.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- Good communication skills and is able to speak, read and write English.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
