Rehabilitation Care Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Rehabilitation Care Technician to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Care Tech will work under the supervision of professional rehabilitation services staff. Duties require initiative, organizational skills, written and telephone communication skills, basic computer skills, and patient care skills. Essential tasks include assisting the rehabilitation professional with patient treatment, exercise/ADL set-ups, hydrotherapy, ambulation, patient transfers, patient transport, patient scheduling, and other cares as assigned. The Rehab Care Tech needs to work collaboratively on a team with therapists, aides and other internal or external customers. Daily flexibility in work duties is a requirement to support the department in meeting its patient care needs.

Work Schedule:
Six 8‑hour shifts within a two‑week pay period, scheduled on an every‑other‑weekend rotation with alternating holidays

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Experience in a customer service role, rehab aide, nursing assistant or equivalent.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

NA

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work independently under the supervision of multiple Rehabilitation Professionals on recurring assignments semi-routine in nature.
  • Must be able to problem-solve using good communication and people skills.
  • Strong verbal communication, customer relations and listening skills are essential.
  • Must be able to promote and maintain good customer relations and patient confidentiality.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of patients including those with physical disabilities, speech and hearing impairments, cognitive impairments, and language impairments and barriers.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Customer relations experience

    Pay Range Statement
    Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation based on role (e.g., shift differential, bonus, sales incentive, productivity pay, etc.).
