Relationship Banker

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Greet members warmly and identify their banking needs through active listening and engaging conversation.
  • Promote and cross-sell products such as savings accounts, checking accounts, youth accounts, certificates of deposit, loans, and credit cards to meet member needs.
  • Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, and check processing with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage member relationships by providing professional, personalized service and addressing inquiries using effective problem solving and communication skills.
  • Detect and prevent potential fraud by monitoring account activity, verifying transactions, and adhering to security protocols.
  • Support cash management activities such as balancing cash drawers, reconciling accounts, and maintaining precise records.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with all members.
  • Proven experience in financial sales or customer relationship management within a credit union or banking environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations including debits & credits, balancing, and cash handling procedures.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in keyboard and 10 key typing for accurate transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of financial services products and sales techniques; eagerness to upsell appropriate solutions responsibly.
  • Ability to detect fraud indicators and follow security protocols diligently.
  • Familiarity with financial software systems and cash management tools is advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
