Midcoast Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Relationship Specialist Supervisor (Head Teller) to provide support, training, direction and guidance for the Relationship Specialists in order to facilitate positive member engagements within their branch. To ensure deposit, operational, and compliance expectations are met within established daily processes. To ensure the accuracy of member transactions and proper cash controls are followed. To coach and develop individual direct reports' skills and performance. To participate in attainment of organizational goals by role modeling and setting appropriate expectations around member education on beneficial products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Train, educate, direct, coach, develop and evaluate their Relationship Specialists within the current role and seek to guide them towards the appropriate resources to ensure they are developing further competency skills needed for career progression. Interviews, recommends for hire, trains and oversees training plan, monitors progress, effectively schedules, assigns work to, establishes performance expectations. Provides in the moment coaching, constructive feedback, and appropriate recognition and positive reinforcement. Complete performance management documents such as the initial evaluation, annual evaluation, and address behavior as needed with timely documentation such as coaching, corrective action, performance improvement plans and positive recognition and reinforcement. Maintains adequate staffing levels to meet the member needs based on the day of the week, date of the month, etc.
  • Ensure that all team members are trained on and have clear expectations for adhering to compliance regulations, (BSA, AML, OFAC, MIP, CTR, Reg CC). Adhere to the cash handling policy, maintain cash security controls for drawers and the vault, monitor and order branch currency. Complete required periodic audits such as drawer and vault audits, CDM, ATM, facilities, coin machine (if needed), instant issue card machine (if needed). Review departmental updates for changes to policies, procedures, or regulations that will impact their team and implement accordingly.
  • Ensure that branch and team are contributing towards meeting the Credit Union's established annual goals, this will include executing periodic branch challenges and delivering periodic competency assessments. Completing tasks and assignment with accuracy and efficiency, minimizing errors, and correcting identified issues timely.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment for all team members, adhering to the Credit Union's Core Values and complete other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, operate calculator, keyboard, verify cash by hand and may require lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: Work is expected to be performed in a Credit Union branch location.
