Remittance Clerk - Al Ansari Exchange

A major foreign exchange and remittance company operating branches across Oman. Customer service staff handle money transfers, currency exchange, and client inquiries.

A Remittance Clerk at Al Ansari Exchange handles customer money transfer and financial service transactions while delivering excellent service. This is a frontline role interacting with walk-in customers and supporting branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process remittance and transfer transactions accurately and efficiently.

Provide prompt, professional customer service — greeting customers, explaining services and fees, answering enquiries.

Comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Collect and file supporting documents for transactions according to company filing systems and policies.

Maintain neat and organized work areas (counters, files, records).

Handle complaints and service issues — resolve on the spot or escalate as appropriate.

Manage telephone enquiries and provide rate/transaction information.

Identify potential business opportunities and promote additional services where appropriate.

Typical Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (often preferred) or diploma.

1–3+ years experience in cash handling, customer service, or banking/finance.

Excellent communication skills (English, knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus).

Ability to work shifts and in different branch locations if needed.

Good computer literacy (POS, MS Office).
