Remote Accountant

Responsibilities
 

• Manage all accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements.
• Ensure timely processing of payments and invoices.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Develop and analyse reports on the company's financial performance.
• Assist with financial audits and implement procedural improvements.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data and confidential information.

Qualifications
 

• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles, including U.S. GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• A keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
