Position: Lithuanian Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50/hour

Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Lithuanian. Follow detailed constraints and instructions.
• Produce high-quality written outputs in Lithuanian. Support work in English when required.
• Develop detailed evaluation rubrics and grading guidelines in Lithuanian and English.
• Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate responses for accuracy, completeness, fluency, and clarity.
• Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Ensure tasks, rubrics, and outputs meet Mercor’s quality bar.
• Work independently and manage time effectively. Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
• Native or near-native fluency in Lithuanian (spoken and written) and professional fluency in English.
• Ability to accurately transcribe and analyze Lithuanian audio content.
• Available to commit 10–20 hours per week.
  
  
  

Preferred

• College students or recent graduates.
• Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, or technical disciplines.
• Prior experience with transcription, annotation, localization, evaluation, or research workflows in Lithuanian.
• Familiarity with dialectal variations (e.g., Aukštaitian, Samogitian) and contemporary usage.
• Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
