We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in mapping, tracking, and documenting ABA telehealth requirements across the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research of Medicaid statutes, administrative codes, MCO policies, provider manuals, telehealth regulations, and licensing board rules across multiple states.
  • Collaborate directly with leadership and in-house legal counsel to interpret and apply evolving requirements to the organization’s policies and day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain and continuously update a centralized regulatory database, capturing state-specific requirements such as, covered CPT codes, telehealth rules, required billing modifiers, POS rules, supervision, site requirements, and prior authorization guidelines.
  • Synthesize and summarize legal language into clear, practical guidance for internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a structured multi-state compliance research pipeline, including deadlines, version control, and documentation standards.
  • Identify and reconcile conflicts between policy sources; escalate ambiguities and propose resolution paths with legal counsel.
  • Ensure accuracy and auditability of compliance data through rigorous source citation, document tracking, and version control protocols.
  • Prepare concise compliance reports and summaries for leadership and other departments.
  • Monitor and flag potential compliance risks or operational gaps before they escalate.
  • Ensure alignment between Forta’s internal practices and federal/state laws, including HIPAA and Medicaid program integrity standards.
  • Partner with operations, credentialing, and billing teams to implement regulatory changes efficiently.
  • Draft and update internal compliance guidance documents and SOPs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, legal research, or paralegal work (preferably Medicaid or managed care focused).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret statutory and regulatory language.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; comfort with database tools and document management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong documentation habits.
  • Skilled in synthesizing complex information and communicating findings clearly to non-legal teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or JD coursework preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹442.95 - ₹488.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
