Job Overview

IOK (The Institute of Knowledge) is seeking a dedicated and organised Remote Customer Support Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time position, offering the flexibility of remote work. As a key member of our team, you will be the first point of contact for our community, providing exceptional support and ensuring the smooth administrative operation of our diverse educational programmes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in upholding our mission to foster a finer future through high-quality programming that connects individuals with valuable Islamic resources.

The compensation for this role is $30 - $40 USD per hour, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from students, parents, and the wider community via email, phone, and other digital platforms.
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding our courses, programmes, enrolment processes, and community events.
- Manage key administrative tasks, including processing student registrations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our databases are up to date.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments, including academic staff and management, to resolve queries and ensure a seamless student experience.
- Offer basic technical support and guidance to users navigating our online learning platforms.
- Process applications and payments and maintain clear records related to student accounts.
- Collate and report on customer feedback to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services and programmes.

Qualifications

- Proven professional experience in a customer support or administrative role, preferably within an educational or non-profit organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a consistently professional and empathetic approach.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- High proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and managing a varied workload in a remote environment.
- A patient, calm, and solution-oriented mindset when addressing customer concerns.
- An understanding of, or sensitivity to, the Islamic educational context is highly desirable.
