Remote Debate Coaches / Instructors (Part-Time)

About Us

iLearning is a premier online education center dedicated to serving K-12 students worldwide at all levels. Due to our steady, continuous growth, we are expanding our competitive debate program.

We are currently seeking experienced, mature Online Debate Coaches who possess strong classroom management skills to lead dynamic online group classes and private tutoring sessions. We are specifically looking for coaches with a proven pedigree of national-level success to inspire and elevate our students.

Requirements

National Tournament Track Record (At least one of the following):

• Personally competed in National Debate Tournaments and won awards.
• OR Have a proven track record of guiding/coaching students to compete and win awards at National Debate Tournaments.

Teaching Experience: Minimum 3 years of debate teaching/coaching experience.

Online Tech Savvy: At least 2 years of recent online teaching experience with strong virtual classroom management skills.

Format Expertise: Familiarity with Public Forum (PF), Lincoln-Douglas (LD), Congressional, or Parliamentary formats is highly preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profiles :

• Professional Educators: Current or former school teachers with strong classroom leadership and a passion for speech and debate.
• Elite Academics: Current students or alumni from top-tier colleges with a 3.7+ GPA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Engagement: Lead structured, engaging, and high-energy online debate classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels (Grades 3-12).
• Championship Mentorship: Provide actionable, personalized feedback to help students excel in argumentation, public speaking, research, and critical thinking.
• Tournament Prep: Leverage your national-level competitive or coaching experience to prepare and guide students for local, regional, and national tournaments.
• Collaborate: Work alongside our curriculum team to maintain instructional excellence and align on student goals.

Compensation:

Starting at $30/hour and up, based on experience and qualifications.

The rate includes class preparation time and providing feedback on homework
