The Role

We are hiring remote ESL tutors to lead engaging, conversation-based English lessons for K-12 students enrolled in our partner private schools. Our tutors focus on building real communication skills, confidence, and fluency — not rote grammar drills.

This is a freelance opportunity designed for experienced ESL educators who want flexibility without the overhead of lesson planning. All teaching materials are provided by Scholege, so you can focus on what matters: connecting with your students.

Key Details

• Session format: 45-minute small-group sessions
• Teaching approach: Conversation-based English instruction
• Student profile: K-12 private school students
• Materials: Fully provided by Scholege — no lesson prep required
• Availability required: Weekdays, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST
• Compensation: $18 - $22 USD per hour, paid monthly

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, student-centered ESL conversation sessions
• Create a supportive learning environment that helps students gain speaking confidence
• Adapt teaching style to different proficiency levels and learning preferences
• Maintain consistent, professional communication with students and Scholege staff
• Track student progress using Scholege's digital tools

Required Qualifications

• TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent ESL teaching certification
• Bachelor's degree (any field)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience (virtual teaching experience strongly preferred)
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional workspace with webcam and headset
• Consistent availability during weekday 10 AM - 3 PM EST hours
