Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers through proactive communication and excellent customer service.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and terms to optimize freight solutions while ensuring profitability.
  • Coordinate transportation planning by matching freight loads with suitable carriers using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
  • Manage day-to-day operations including dispatching, data entry, and tracking shipments via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
  • Generate leads through effective sales management strategies such as inside sales, B2B outreach, and lead generation techniques to expand your client base.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other transportation safety standards during freight handling and documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a focus on freight brokerage/trucking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning, carrier negotiations, contracts, and transportation sales processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build lasting customer relationships through inside sales tactics and B2B engagement strategies.
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently.
