     Our law firm is seeking a meticulous remote legal document processing specialist to manage, format, and organize critical           legal paperwork. In this role, you will ensure that legal filings, contracts, and case documents are processed with absolute          accuracy and strict compliance. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with legal terminology, exhibits a hawk-eyed focus       on detail, and operates seamlessly within a fast-paced, virtual firm environment.

 

        Core Responsibilities

 

  • Format and proofread complex legal briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and contracts to ensure standard legal formatting.
  • Audit and verify document details, cross-referencing case numbers, dates, and names to eliminate compliance risks.
  • Tag and index digital files into our firm’s secure cloud-based document management system.
  • Meet daily quotas for file volumes while maintaining an accuracy rate above 99.5%
  • Secure sensitive data by strictly adhering to firm privacy policies, client confidentiality rules, and data security mandates.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals via secure channels to quickly resolve document or formatting discrepancies.

 

        Required Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 1–2 years in legal data entry, administrative law firm support, or legal document control.
  • Technical Skills : High-speed typing (minimum 65 WPM) with near-perfect accuracy.
  • Software Mastery : Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (advanced Word styles), Adobe Acrobat Pro (redaction/PDF merging), and secure cloud storage.
  • Infrastructure: A dedicated, private home office with a reliable, high-speed internet connection to protect client confidentiality.
  • Traits : Discretion, strong time-management skills, and a proven ability to meet court deadlines without direct supervision.

 

       Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate or Legal Studies background is a major plus.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with local court e-filing systems, bluebook citation styles, or transcription.
  • Advance tools: Familiarity with legal document systems (e.g. NetDocuments, Clio) or OCR software
