Remote Marketing Copywriter

This is a remote work position - Candidates for this role should be located within the digital and/or publication footprint of Forum Communications Company, including North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

SUMMARY

The Marketing Copywriter role is part of the Corporate Marketing team at Forum Communications Company. The Marketing Copywriter is an experienced marketing writer and master wordsmith. This role will be responsible for writing original copy for campaign and promotional assets for all marketing channels, including print, digital, video, social media, and email marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work independently and collaborate with team members to produce engaging, on-brand copy.
• Oversee campaign messaging and assist with overall campaign planning.
• Write on-brand, customer-centric copy for a variety of channels, including print, digital, video, social media and email.
• Write compelling copy that concisely and effectively summarizes our value propositions, brand promises with calls to action that convert.
• Present ideas on visual and design concepts that align best with the messaging strategy.
• Liaise with designers to enrich copy and text with visual aids.
• Write video scripts for commercial advertising or other marketing and storytelling purposes.
• Develop a strong understanding of our customers and create messaging that speaks to their needs, motivations and behaviors.
• Develop a deep familiarity with our products, their core features and benefits to our customers.
• Ensure all campaigns reflect the proper brand voice, tone and style.
• Manage copywriting for a variety of projects and products simultaneously while meeting all deadlines.
• Prepare and publish articles that market our products and company.
• Write customer facing content including product updates, pricing and product letters, emails, etc.
• Utilize AI technology to advance efficiencies and effectiveness of copy and context.
• Perform special writing projects for employee communication as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Writing, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• A strong, versatile portfolio of copywriting samples is required.
• At least 5+ years of relevant work experience creating copy for a variety of channels.
• Exceptional at understanding nuances and best practices of channel-specific copywriting (e.g. social media strategies, email best practices, SEO, emoji use, etc.)
• Experience copywriting for online brand initiatives.
• Advanced understanding of core social media platforms.
• Proficient with products in the Google Suite.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a love and feel for language.

Expected compensation for this role is between $50,000 and $70,000/year, based on qualifications and experience.
