remote middle school math tutor

We’re looking for a strong, engaging middle school math tutor to work with students in grades 5–8. This role focuses on one-on-one support, helping students build both skills and confidence in math.

This is a part-time remote position with flexible scheduling. Sessions are 50 minutes and typically take place after school hours.

What you’ll do:

• Work 1:1 with students on middle school math (pre-algebra and algebra foundations)
• Break down concepts in a clear, step-by-step way
• Adjust your approach based on each student’s needs and learning style
• Build rapport and help students feel more confident in math
• Communicate professionally with parents
• Send brief written summaries after each session

What we’re looking for:

• Teaching certification required
• Experience teaching or tutoring middle school math
• Prior remote tutoring or online teaching experience
• Strong communication skills with both students and parents
• Comfortable using Zoom and shared online tools
• Reliable, organized, and responsive

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Experience:
