Remote Nurse Practitioner (Telehealth – Urgent Care)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, medical history review.
• Diagnose acute illnesses and injuries, utilizing clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
• Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care instructions.
• Document all patient encounters accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
• Manage triage calls and prioritize patient needs effectively to deliver prompt care and support.
• Must be licensed to practice in California

Experience

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently in a telehealth setting.
• Proven experience in urgent care or emergency medicine environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
• Familiarity with medical coding systems like CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for documentation accuracy.
• Knowledge of pharmacology related to pain management, psychopharmacology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health interventions.
• Prior telehealth experience is preferred; candidates should be comfortable managing remote patient interactions efficiently and compassionately. Pay: $112,925.65 - $135,996.48 per year
