A busy and expanding UK-based law firm is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and IT-proficient Personal Assistant / Conveyancing Paralegal to provide remote support to a Conveyancing Solicitor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate based in the UAE who has experience in legal administration or residential conveyancing and is looking to remotely work closely with a respected UK law firm in a fast-paced and professional environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of residential conveyancing matters and provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the supervising solicitor.
The role requires someone who is organised, reliable, able to work independently, and confident communicating with clients and third parties in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal assistant and administrative support to a Conveyancing Solicitor
- Managing diaries, appointments, emails, and daily task lists
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Opening, maintaining, and updating client files
- Assisting with residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, brokers, lenders, solicitors, and third parties via telephone and email
- Supporting with freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, transfer of equity, and new build transactions
- Conducting online legal searches and handling digital document management
- Assisting with compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures
- Identifying and escalating legal or procedural issues where necessary
- Providing general legal and administrative support to the wider team
Essential Requirements
- Based in the UAE
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Exceptional IT and computer skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines remotely
- Professional communication and client care skills
- Reliable internet connection and suitable remote working setup
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience within a UK law firm
- Experience in residential conveyancing or legal administration
- Understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
- Familiarity with legal case management systems
- LLB or relevant legal qualification preferred but not essential
- CLC or SRA registration advantageous (where applicable)
