Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the acquisition of goods and services essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards. This fully remote role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaborate effectively with various internal departments to meet the company's procurement needs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, refine, and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Source and vet potential vendors and suppliers to build a reliable and competitive supply chain.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the most advantageous deals.
  • Manage the entire purchase order process from creation to delivery and payment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
  • Analyse market trends and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as IT and Operations, to understand their specific requirements.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Officer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and procurement best practices.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or IT industry is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with procurement software.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
