Remote Salaried Full Time Pre-Licensed Psychotherapist

Practical Online Therapy is seeking remote Pre-Licensed Psychotherapists to provide psychotherapy to high functioning, low-risk individuals, couples, and families. Clinicians will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director who is an LCSW.

This will be a W-2, salaried position with benefits. It will start as a part-time fee for service position without benefits while the clinician builds their caseload and end in a full-time salaried position with benefits after attaining 38-40 scheduled sessions per week.

Compensation:

• Minimum compensation for seeing clients is 45/ hour (not per session) until the position becomes salaried. Compensation is not based on experience.
• The hourly rate is slightly higher for couples and family therapy sessions until the position becomes salaried.
• Salary after building caseload of 38-40 sessions per week: $62,400.

Benefits:

• Medical insurance benefits (Aetna).
• All benefits begin after attaining and maintaining a full time caseload of 35 sessions per week.

You would not be responsible for:

• Marketing, Invoice generation, Billing, Grievances, Audit requests, Insurance credentialing, most of the scheduling (clients can manage their appts online through the client portal).

Your Responsibilities once salaried:

• Managing new client leads.
• Sending Intake consent forms to clients through the EHR.
• Provide video consultations, up to 20 minutes, to prospective clients who request it.
• Provide intake assessments & evidence-based ongoing therapy to clients, while working under the guidance of the Practical Online Therapy Clinical Director.
• Provide diagnoses to clients using the most up-to-date DSM diagnostic criteria and the Clinical Director's guidance.
• Complete assessments and discharge summaries as necessary, using templates provided by the company.
• Complete progress notes, due by midnight the day of each session.
• Adhere to minimum documentation requirements as specified in the contract.
• Add scheduling updates to your EHR account.

Professional Requirements:

• Ability to present as a caring professional during all interactions with clients and prospective clients.
• Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented, ability to work independently.
• Licensure/ Pre-licensure/ Permit in NY, & willingness to obtain licensure in both NY & NJ; maintenance of professional licensures in good standing. The following licenses are acceptable: LMSW, MFT, MHC-LP, CAT-LP, Psychoanalysts.
• Individual NPI number; Maintenance of unexpired liability insurance; Adherence to HIPAA law.

Schedule & Caseload Requirements:

• Consistently maintain a minimum caseload with the practice of 38-40 sessions per week. Most sessions are 38 minutes long.
• Availability to see clients during the weekday mornings, early & late afternoons, and evenings. Schedule can be flexible but must include a combination of all of these shifts.

Physical and Technical Requirements:

• Residence in New York State throughout the duration of employment (for tax purposes).
• High quality headshot that meets the requirements, and permission for the company to use it for marketing purposes.
• Private, uninterrupted and professional therapeutic space (“virtual office”) to conduct sessions.
• Ability to modify the actual background of the virtual office space (no virtual backgrounds are permitted).
• High quality microphone and camera for video calls.
• High quality, reliable internet connection (at least 10mbps upload & download speeds), through ethernet cable.
• Password-protected computer that is able to handle video calls effectively.
