Duties

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and small business clients using industry-standard software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting tools
• Review financial documents and records to ensure accuracy and completeness before filing
• Assist clients by explaining tax laws, deductions, credits, and other relevant financial information clearly and professionally
• Conduct analysis of client financial data to identify potential savings or areas for improvement
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, filings, and correspondence for compliance purposes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax-related tasks during peak season
• Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and software updates to provide accurate advice and services

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a focus on tax experience
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and technical accounting practices
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software is a plus
• Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail to ensure precise calculations and filings
• Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
• Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, corporate accounting, and marketing strategies is advantageous
• Basic math skills combined with a strong foundation in financial sales techniques are desirable
