The candidate must have a degree in civil engineering and/or geology (BSc) with a high degree in remote sensing (MSc or PhD) with a minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant field.
This role is to analyze satellite and/or aerial imagery of Riyadh city to assess environmental conditions, land use of project sites, interpreting remote sensing data and reporting which includes but not limited to the following:
- Analyze satellite and/or aerial images of Riyadh city over the past years.
- Select appropriate imageries based on resolution, coverage, and spectral characteristics.
- Identify and extract features such as land cover types, vegetation indices, and water bodies using techniques like classification and spectral analysis.
- Monitor changes over time in areas such as urban expansion and environmental impact using satellite imagery.
- Assess environmental impacts and track trends through project life.
- Develop models to simulate environmental processes using remote sensing data, such as climate change effects or hydrological cycles.
- Integrate remote sensing data with GIS and other datasets to create comprehensive analysis models.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing analysis results and implications for decision-making processes.
