Parallel is seeking licensed Special Education Teachers to join our network of compassionate, remote educators supporting K–12 students nationwide. If you’re passionate about helping students with learning differences reach their potential, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do

• Provide remote special education instruction and support
• Work with students receiving compensatory education, out-of-school learners, or those needing extra academic help
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
• Maintain case management and accurate IEP documentation
• Collaborate with families and school teams to adapt instruction and schedules
• Conduct screenings, progress monitoring, and educational assessments
• Guide caregivers with strategies and tools to support learning at home
• Document sessions following organizational practices

What You’ll Need

• Active special education teaching license
• Experience with diverse learners in educational settings
• Familiarity with structured literacy programs (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson)
• Background in teaching reading and writing
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort using virtual platforms for teaching and communication
• Reliable internet, computer, webcam, and a quiet workspace
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week during typical school hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–3pm)
• Fluency in other languages is a plus
