Remote Tutors Needed (based in Asia time zone) - US transplants preferred

Overview:

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITH STUDENTS IN Asia/Australia TIME ZONES.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing personalized instruction and support. Whether it's helping with homework, reinforcing concepts, or preparing for exams, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic goals.

Subjects:

Below 12/13 year olds:

- Must be able to teacher math, language arts, social studies and science up to grade 7

Above 13 years old:

- Content specialists are preferred (math, chem. and physics)

- Study Skills/Executive Function Coaching

- English (reading, writing, speaking & research)

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students of various ages and skill levels
- Assess students' learning needs and develop customized lesson plans
- Help students understand and apply concepts in subjects such as Math, Science, English, or other specific areas of expertise
- Utilize effective teaching strategies and learning technologies to enhance student engagement and comprehension
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents/guardians to develop strategies for academic improvement
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning as needed
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student success

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
- Previous experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
- Familiarity with curriculum standards and learning objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Proficiency in learning technologies and educational software is a plus

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
